8th Grade News: October 1-5, 2018

General News
Binder Checks
Shout out to all of our students who earned enough binder check points for the month of September to receive a dress down day last week! Monday will begin October Binder Checks. Please make sure your child has received their new score card. It is each student's responsibility to keep up with their binder, supplies, and score card. (We teachers promise to make sure we are being more consistent with our checks each week!)

PSP
The Pathways to Success Program (PSP) has begun. PSP is a program designed to provide students with extra help in ELA and Math. It meets on Mondays and Tuesdays after school from 3:45-6:00pm, as well as before school from 7:15-8:00am. The focus on Mondays will be ELA, and on Tuesdays the focus will be Math. If you would like your child to receive after school tutoring, PSP is the perfect opportunity. Transportation is also provided! For more information, please contact Ms. Ward (wardt@clarke.k12.ga.us).

Shout Outs: Students of the Month
Each month, the 8th grade team selects two exemplary scholars to be the 8th grade students of the month. Congratulations to our 8th grade students of the month for September, Aliyah and Oba!
