8th Grade News: March 2-5, 2020

General News
Parent Teacher Conferences
Spring parent teacher conferences are this week! This Wednesday, March 4th, students will be dismissed early (at 1:30pm) and teachers will hold conferences until 8:00pm. This Thursday, March 5th, students are off all day and teachers will hold conferences from 8:00am - 8:00pm. There is no school for students or teachers this Friday, March 6th (and then the following week is Spring Break). Please be expecting some communication from your child's homeroom teacher this week to begin scheduling your conference. Spring conferences for 8th graders are particularly exciting - in addition to Quarter 3 report cards, parents will also be receiving their students' schedules for 9th grade!

If you would like to reach out to your child's teacher, the complete 8th grade faculty contact information is listed at the bottom of this blog. Families are such an important link in helping children grow, develop, and improve in their schooling experience, and we welcome this opportunity to meet with you and discuss your child's progress. It is our goal as a school to have 100% participation!

21st Century Announcement
After School 21st Century programming and classes will not be available March 2-5, 2020 due to Parent Conferences. Morning 21st Century programming will be available.

Spring Break Food Drive
The Hilsman Food Pantry will be holding a food drive during the month of February to provide food for students and families in our community during Spring Break. We are asking specifically for dried or canned goods that can be used as breakfast or lunch items. The homeroom with the most donations will be rewarded with a dress down day!
